Validity extension of miles and membership tier status

The global spread of COVID-19 pandemic and suspension of THAI flights have been prolonged since April 2020. This situation may cause our members not to be able to use their miles for award redemption or use benefits from tier status as usual.

Because you are valuable to THAI and Royal Orchid Plus, so we specially extend expiring miles in 2020 and validity of tier status as follows.

Validity extension of miles:
Members who have expired or expiring miles in any quarter of 2020, 31 March 2021, and 30 June 2021, these miles are valid for award redemption until 31 December 2021.

Validity extension of membership tier status:
- For Silver, Gold, and Platinum members whose status expired or will expire during 1 February – 31 December 2020, validity of your tier status will be specially extended for 2 years after the current status expiry date.  
- For Gold and Platinum members whose status will expire during 1 January – 31 December 2021, validity of your tier status will be specially extended for 1 year after the current expiry date.

Members will be entitled benefits from your membership tier status, i.e. extra baggage allowance, complimentary upgrades and yearly award tickets using 50% reduced miles for redemption (for Gold and Platinum members only), with exception of the Threshold Bonus miles. 

*Only members who meet the normal criteria for membership evaluation of Royal Orchid Plus or which of our co-brand credit card partners will be eligible for validity extension. Your membership tier status will be adjusted after the expiry date of the current one. This is an automatic process, no further action by members is required, so you do not need to contact us for extending tier status or mileage validity.
