2. in the context of the evolving trajectory of COVID-19 case of some countries especially China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand, Japan and reports regarding circulation of variants of SARS-CoV-2 in these countries, it has been decided that the existing guidelines for international arrivals needs to be revised and updated.
3. as per the revised guidelines , a mandatory requirement for per-departure RT-PCR testing( to be conducted within 72 hrs prior to undertaking the journey) is being introduced for passengers in all international flights from these countries (mentioned in para 2 above)
4. Accordingly ministry of civil aviation's air suvidha portal has to be made operational for passengers in all international flights from these countries, with a provision to all these international travelers arriving in India to submit/upload negative RT-PCR test report as well as to submit self-declaration form on this portal.
5. the existing practice of post-arrival random testing of 2% travelers(irrespective of port of departure) shall continue.
6. this arrange shall come into practice with effect from 10:00 AM on Sunday, 1st January, 2023.
